The King of Love – Righteousness
Prayers
1. Powers assigned to remove me from the path of righteousness, be scattered in the name of Jesus.
2. By the power in the blood of Jesus, I will abide in righteousness all my days in Jesus name.
Text: Romans 14:17-18
17For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. 18For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men. (KJV)
17for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 18For he who in this way serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men. (NASB)
We have already gone over the concepts of King of Love- Joy and Peace (refer to previous week’s messages), today we will be examining The King of Love - Righteousness, with an emphasis on Righteousness. Even though it is the second to be mentioned in the verse, it has a foundational and fundamental place in the scheme of the kingdom which makes it vital to consider righteousness before looking at the kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is built on righteousness as foundational building blocks, the kingdom of God is for the righteous and works for the righteous. It takes righteousness to be a citizen of the kingdom, maintain your citizenship in the kingdom and have a voice that matters in the Kingdom.
So What is Righteousness?
Righteousness has been defined as:
· acting in accord with divine or moral law: free from guilt or sin
· the quality of being morally right or justifiable
· arising from an outraged sense of justice or morality
· genuine, excellent
Synonyms include: goodness · virtue · virtuousness · uprightness · decency · integrity · worthiness · rectitude · probity · morality · ethicalness · high-mindedness · justice · honesty · honor · honorableness · innocence · blamelessness · guiltlessness · irreproachability · sinlessness · saintliness · purity · nobility · noble-mindedness · piety · piousness
May the righteousness of God that brings peace be upon your life in Jesus name.
May the righteousness that brings about freedom from every form of bondage be upon your life and family in Jesus name.
May the righteousness that will enable you get to heaven in the end be upon your life and sustain you till the end in Jesus name.
Righteousness refers to right standing, having a good open relationship with someone, especially with a key person who has more leverage than you.
Right standing relates to the favour obtained from being in that state.
If an individual is not in good standing with the law, the individual gets arrested, fined, sentenced and possibly goes to jail.
Right standing is important.
One of the attributes of love is giving. When you love someone, you are able to give whatever the person needs without reservation. God - the King of love - expresses His deep love for us through His gift of righteousness as recorded in Romans 5:17:
For if by the trespass of the one (Adam), death reigned through the one (Adam), much more surely will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in [eternal] life through the One, Jesus Christ.
Some attitudes to righteousness:
1. Righteousness can be accepted: This brings abundance of grace – to please God and reign eternally with Christ.
May your life and destiny accept and continue in righteousness in Jesus name.
2. Righteousness can be rejected: 2 Thessalonians 2:10
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. KJV
and by unlimited seduction to evil and with all the deception of wickedness for those who are perishing, because they did not welcome the love of the truth [of the gospel] so as to be saved [they were spiritually blind, and rejected the truth that would have saved them]. AMP
May your life and destiny not reject righteousness in Jesus name. You will not be deceived into unrighteousness in Jesus name.
3. Righteousness can be trampled upon: Hebrews 10:29 How much greater punishment do you think he will deserve who has rejected and trampled under foot the Son of God, and has considered unclean and common the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and has insulted the Spirit of grace [who imparts the unmerited favor and blessing of God]?
You will not despise the righteousness of God in Jesus name.
4. Holding truth in unrighteousness: Romans 1:18 For [God does not overlook sin and] the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who in their wickedness suppress and stifle the truth, AMP

Benefits:
1. Righteousness makes believers to reign as kings in life: As a person of authority, enforcing kingdom rights (Romans 5:17).
May you reign as a king in life with your rightful authority occupying until Jesus comes back in Jesus name.
2. Right clothing dressing as brides of Jesus: In Revelation 19:7-9, the bride of Christ was adorned in righteousness as a garment for the wedding with Jesus. Righteousness allows us to be in union with God and to maintain the union.
You will not lack the garment of righteousness at the marriage of the Lamb – our Lord Jesus in Jesus name.
3. Brings peace, quietness and assurance – confidence: Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
May God grant that you always enjoy the peace, quietness, assurance and confidence that righteousness brings in Jesus name.

7. Unrelenting stubborn powers working against my life and future, die in Jesus name.
8. Goliath, Pharaoh and Herod of my father’s and mother’s house die in Jesus name.
9. I bind every strongman that have stolen from me and recover my goods in Jesus name.
10. I will not die I will live by the power in the blood of Jesus.
11. My life and family are shielded with the blood of Jesus against every attack from the kingdom of darkness in Jesus name.
12. I receive the anointing of ease in my endeavors in Jesus name.
