The rage of the wicked will not overcome you

Scripture:

Psalm 92:10 - But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

1 Peter 5:10 - But the God of all grace, who has called us to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that you have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you.

· The rapturous year of ups and downs

· In 2021 the devil will be going about like a ferocious lion seeking whom to devour. The devil will not devour you and yours in Jesus name. God showed a consuming fire of the enemy consuming. The fire of the enemy will not consume you and yours in Jesus name. Steadfast prayers and faith are needed to resist him. Notwithstanding our faithful God, the original consuming fire will consume the fire of the wicked and cause you to emerge victorious in Jesus name. The Bible says in

o Hebrews 12:29 - 29 for our "God is a consuming fire."

o Psalm 97:3 - 3Fire goes before him and consumes his foes on every side.

o Jeremiah 5:14 - 14Therefore this is what the LORD God Almighty says: "Because the people have spoken these words, I will make my words in your mouth a fire and these people the wood it consumes.

o Numbers 16:35 - 35And fire came out from the LORD and consumed the 250 men who were offering the incense.

· God’s faithfulness will see you through. The Bible says in Psalm 92.15 - To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

The enemy is terrible – In Isaiah 49:25, the Bible – God – referred to an entity or some entities as terrible. When God says a power is terrible, it is wise to understand that that power is terrible.

24 Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?

25 But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

26 And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

What does it mean to be terrible?

It has been defined as ‘extremely or distressingly bad or serious’. We are referring to powers, entities, agents that are extremely and distressingly wicked.

Synonyms include horrible, awful, dreadful, horrendous, horrific, appalling, gruesome, monstrous, abominable, hateful, shocking, horrifying grim, ghastly and agonizing. For the purposes of this study, we will refer to them as extremely wicked powers.

However, God is also terrible. He is terrible in a good way to His children and people he loves and dangerously terrible against His enemies and the enemies of His children. He is terribly against those powers antagonizing or making life difficult for you - His loved ones. That is why your enemies are in a big trouble that they cannot get out of unless they repent. Powers responsible for adversities in your life and family are in for a big surprise. They will be humiliated, disgraced, put to open shame, disempowered and destroyed in Jesus mighty name.

How terrible is our God?

1. He is a great and terrible (awesome) God: Nehemiah 1:5 And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:

He will keep His covenant of mercy, salvation, provision and protection with you in Jesus name.

2. He will cause fruitfulness to spring forth for you (Review Psalm 65:5-13) 5 By terrible things in righteousness will you answer us, O God of our salvation; who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off on the sea:

He will save you and make ways for you in a way that will embolden your confidence level and destroy the confidence of your opposition.

3. Only God can deliver you out of the hand of the terrible and He will deliver you completely in Jesus name. In Jeremiah 15:21, the Bible says: And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible.

4. God will destroy the work of the terrible from your life…bring it to nothing…to zero: (Isaiah 29:20) For the terrible one is brought to nothing, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off:

God will totally subdue the terrible that they will now be subject to Him and bring Him gifts/homage: (Isaiah 18:7) In that time a present will be brought to the LORD of hosts From a people tall and smooth of skin, And from a people terrible from their beginning onward, A nation powerful and treading down, Whose land the rivers divide— To the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, To Mount Zion.

6. God will open closed doors for you and make ways for you to pass through to your promised land of progress and prosperity (Psalm 66:3-12)

3Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.

4All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.

5Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.

6He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.

7He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.

8O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:

9Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.

10For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.

11Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.

12Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.

Conclusion:

Our God is a great and terrible God who will consume and bring to nothing all the rage and terrible works the enemy has planned or fashioned against your life in 2021. He will save you, help you, establish you and deliver you from every raging fire of the enemy. He will consume the enemy by His consuming fire. You have nothing to fear in this new year. Trust God and walk with Him with the whole of your heart.

2 Thessalonians 2:8

And then shall that Wicked One be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the breath of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: (KJV)

and then the Lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will sweep away with the tempest of His anger, and utterly overwhelm by the awful splendour of His Coming (WNT)

The wicked plans and works against you will be devoured and destroyed by the Lord in Jesus name.

Reflect on Psalm 92

(A Psalm or Song for the sabbath day.) It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: 2To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night, 3Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound. 4For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands. 5O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep. 6A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this. 7When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever: 8But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore. 9For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. 10But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil. 11Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me. 12The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. 13Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. 14They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; 15To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

Prayer on destroying the rage of the wicked.

2. Born Again?

3. Wasting powers, you are liars, die, in the name of Jesus.

4. Evil calendars, scheduling problems into my future, catch fire in the name of Jesus.

5. The fire of the enemy will not consume me and mine in Jesus name.

6. I will prevail over every difficult situation in Jesus name.

7. Lord of hosts destroy all my unrelenting adversaries in Jesus name.

8. Lord of hosts destroy every rage of the wicked against my life and destiny in Jesus name.

9. I reject financial adversity in Jesus name.

10. Father, let wealth change hands from the hands of the wicked into my hands in Jesus name.

11. Every attack against my finances and prosperity, backfire in Jesus name.

12. My assigned helpers locate me now and help me in Jesus name.

13. All the seconds, minutes, hours, weeks and months of 2021 will favour me and go well for me and my family in Jesus name.

14. Father deliver me out of the hand of the wicked and redeem me out of the hand of the terrible in Jesus name.

15. Afflictions that beset me in 2020 will no longer arise in my life in Jesus name.

16. Father, open closed doors for me and make ways for me to pass through to my promised land of progress and prosperity in Jesus name.

17. Covenant of mercy, work for me this year and beyond in Jesus name.

18. Fruitfulness, spring forth for me in Jesus name.

19. I will not die, I will live to declare the works of the Lord in the land of the living in Jesus name.

20. Treasures of darkness and hidden riches of the secret places locate me now in the name of Jesus.
