January 2015 Messages

January 4, 2015

2015 – is declared The Year of Greatness! It is your set time to be great. Pay close attention to the prophecies, apply them to your life regularly, stay in God and you are bound to see a manifestation in Jesus name!

  1. 2015 is a year of greatness.
  2. A year of supernatural greatness for the faithful.
  3. Pray against strange events like disappearance of people, villages/towns. It is a call for those still left here and alive to turn to the Lord.
  4. I will fight for you – as long as you belong to me.
  5. Your weeping will come to an end this year and joy will begin.
  6. Divine speed/acceleration for some.
  7. I will help you.
  8. Not only that your antagonists will be soundly defeated, but those helping your antagonists will be put to shame.
  9. On the International front pray against coups, at the national, local and family levels. Pray against disunity.

It was Calvin Coolidge who stated:  "Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.
Talent will not; nothing in the world is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is a proverb.
Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent."

Be persistent in God for the things you nee. Don’t give up.

Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all." ~ Dale Carnegie

When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on."~ Thomas Jefferson

"Never, never, never give up!"      ~ Winston Churchill

We will begin to examine the great blessings in Genesis 26, our scripture for the year, from next week. Keep on pressing forward in God, till you attain your greatness, peace and joy.

but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13b-14)

Don’t confess negative things, as whatever you believe and say is what you will see manifesting in your life.

People do not seem to realize that
their opinion of the world
is also a confession of character.

 Ralph Waldo Emerson

May God fulfill His word in your life as you stay in Him, trust Him and hold onto His words in Jesus name!

My Year of Greatness! – Part 2 (Escaping famine)

1And there was a famine in the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.

2And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell you of: Genesis 26:1-2

1.      God’s original plan is there should be no famine

4"However, there will be no poor among you, since the LORD will surely bless you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance to possess,

5if only you listen obediently to the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all this commandment which I am commanding you today.…

                                                                        (Deuteronomy 15)

2. There will always be famine

Jesus said: You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me." (John 12:8)

There is personal famine (social, knowledge, wisdom, losses due to lack of preparation); and environmental famine.

Disobedience, i.e. sin is the major cause.

You can avoid famine, God can warn and protect you from famine, even the famine of protection (2 Kings 8)

God can restore everything you have lost in previous famine encounters; cause you to ride over famine.

Are you currently going through a famine? Fasting and prayer may be required to forcefully break famine coupled with a declaration of God’s word (1 Kings 17-18).

As you align yourself totally obeying God with the whole of your spirit, soul and body, I pray your season of famine will passover and give way to a season of joy and abundance, no more loneliness in Jesus name!

3. God controls times and seasons

"I also withheld rain from you when the harvest was still three months away. I sent rain on one town, but withheld it from another. One field had rain; another had none and dried up. (NIV)

"I kept the rain from falling when your crops needed it the most. I sent rain on one town but withheld it from another. Rain fell on one field, while another field withered away. (NLT)

There will be famine for those who are not on the Lord’s side.

You can escape and you will escape as you follow and remain obedient to God.

Some of the prophecies are conditional.

Don’t join them in negative statements and confessions – You shall have what you say. Mark 11:23-24, Job 36:11

4. If you are experiencing a famine, get back to God’s original plan through obedience.

         Let God appear to you

2And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell you of: (Also see Psalm 15, Psalm 24)

If you try to succeed your own way you are creating a highway to failure.  - Ayobola Olusegun-Emmanuel

If you think you are failing while trying to succeed in God's own way, you have not failed; in fact you have succeeded. You have at least successfully overcome the failure of not trying. You are on the path to success my friend. Keep on trying, you will eventually succeed. -KOE

May every famine situation in your life and family give way to abundance in Jesus mighty name! Amen!!

My Year of Greatness! – Part 3 (When the godly path does not make sense)

          3Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you, and will bless you; for unto you, and unto your descendants, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I swore unto Abraham your father;

         4And I will make your descendants to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto your descendants all these countries; and in your descendants shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;

5Because Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

6And Isaac dwelt in Gerar             (Genesis 26)

Sometimes by losing a battle you find a new way to win the war. - Donald Trump

Isaac could have said obeying God by staying in Gerar does not make sense:

You promised my father Abraham and me as well a land flowing with milk and honey

All I see around is Gerar – a land infested and ravaged with famine…

and yet you say I should stay…

Lord I am not where I should be …what should you do when all that is within you is saying: Lord I am not where I want to be

Isaac could have said this does not make sense:

…Isaac wanted to be in Egypt but was instructed to stay in Gerar.

Have you ever been in a situation where you would rather be elsewhere doing something different, going places, doing expansive and extended things, great things and yet the Lord says...stay somewhere else….stay with me …in Gerar…

and you are thinking…Lord I want to move onto greener pastures, but God says ‘don’t move’?

Success is not built on success. It's built on failure. It's built on frustration. Sometimes its built on catastrophe. -            Sumner Redstone

In the book of Jeremiah the people refused to stay where God asked them to stay (Jeremiah 42 -43:7)

A book ‘Acres of Diamonds’ suggests what you are searching for is right beside you – ‘under your nose’

The above is dichotomously opposite to the suggestion in the book ‘Who moved my Cheese’ which suggests you should move along with circumstances

How do you know when to move or when to stay?

From the Walt Disney story, we understand it is possible to see what others do not see. How can you see great things ahead and know what steps to take?

From the Procter & Gamble mistaken discovery of the successful Ivory soap from the White soap story, your success may be built on the mistakes you have made or are making.

Sons of Issachar in 1 Chronicles 12:32 saw what others did not see, knew what others did not know, hence enjoyed greatness.

The woman in Proverbs 31:10-18 knew what items to invest in that will be profitable and was able to multi-task successfully.

As you key into God this year, allowing Him to open your eyes, ears and mind, listening and following his dictates, may you attain your higher heights in Jesus mighty name!

Failure is not fatal, but failure to change might be. - John Wooden

God will put you through pressures and trials so the best can come out of you

like tea in hot water or cake mixture in an oven.

You must be able to see the vision of the future and run with it (Habakkuk 2:1-4)

otherwise you may faint easily on the way

"If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in the thickets by the Jordan? (Jeremiah 12:5)

Prayer

        Give thanks.

        Saved?

Lord, help me to listen to you even when things do not make sense in Jesus name.

I destroy every opposition against my life, family and destiny in Jesus name.

Lord, fight for me, in Jesus mighty name!

Household wickedness will not prevail over my life, career, business, finances and progress in Jesus name.

Father, arrest, confound and put to shame unfriendly friends and enemies trying to bring me down in Jesus name.

Promotion is my portion, lifting, exaltation and divine sustenance is my portion in Jesus mighty name! Amen!

My Year of Greatness! – Part 4 (She is my sister…)

In Genesis 26: 7-11, Isaac lied about his wife Rebekah, by stating she was his sister instead of admitting she was his wife. He did this because he was afraid he might lose his life if the mean of the land took away his beauty queen from him forcefully. He seemingly had ‘good reasons’ to lie coupled with fear. When fear comes we must resist it by faith, state the truth and allow God defend us.

Confront your confrontations – they will confront you: Abimelech confronted Isaac with the truth: Mr. Isaac, this woman is your wife, we saw you caressing her, people don’t do that to their sisters. Why didn’t you tell us the truth. Achan refused to confront his sin of greed, disobedience, idolatry and stealing; by the time his sin confronted him, it was too late. He was burnt together with his family.

If you don’t confront them, they will confront your future generations: In Genesis 20:1-18; Abraham sowed the seed of lies that was reproduced in Isaac. Isaac was not yet born when his father lied in the same circumstances that Isaac lied. A generational lying spirit was now in operation. Deal with issues before it extends from you to your future generations.  From Proverbs 13:22, we learn it is possible to leave positive or negative inheritance to our future generations depending on whether we are good or wicked.

Come clean otherwise your sin will find you out (Numbers 32:23)

Don’t give up on doing good, things will yet get better (Job 17:9). For the Wight brothers who are credited with developing the airplane in 1903, many people had tried it before them, even at the cost of their lives, Orville and Wilbur Wright did not give up, kept on trying and successfully built a plane.

God will preserve you as you follow His paths (Psalm 79:11; 121:7).

I have several times made a poor choice by avoiding a necessary confrontation. - John Cleese

God could not bless Isaac until the deception and lying was addressed, it came out in the open; Isaac came clean that his wife was his wife and not his sister.

Sometimes you are confronted by an Abimelech who is saying to your face, you lied…you deceived me…you are a deceiver and is bringing up the issue again and again to your discomfort. Your issue may be different from Isaac’s.

It is because God loves you and wants to bring you to the foot of the cross. (Proverbs 28:13)

God could not bless Isaac; he could not fulfill his name and destiny of laughter until he addressed the lies and deceit.

For this year to yield greatness to you, address every lie and deceit you have put out there; stop what is stopping you.

Recant, expose the lies before they permanently disgrace you, reveal them before they reveal you, and reject them so it does not continue to reject blessings from you.

Isaac came clean and clean blessings and laughter resumed in his life and family. Come clean!

Prayer

        Give thanks.
