Thanksgiving; Psalm 34:1-10
King Jotham: Prepare your way
So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God. - 2 Chronicles 27:6
For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments. - Ezra 7:10
Jotham means ‘Jehovah is perfect’/God is complete
Son of Uzziah / Azariah: ‘Jehovah is my strength‘ or ‘Whom God helps’
He reigned for 16 years

• Daniel: Prepared in the place of prayer before speaking to King Nebuchadnezzar
• Apostles: Prayed before the Holy Ghost came
• David: declared God’s counsel over Goliath
• Elijah, declared famine/rain
• Elisha declared an end to famine
13If you prepare your heart, and stretch out your hands toward him;
14If iniquity be in your hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in your tabernacles.
15For then shall you lift up your face without spot; yes, you shall be steadfast, and shall not fear:
16Because you shall forget your misery, and remember it as waters that pass away:
17And your age shall be clearer than the noonday: you shall shine forth, you shall be as the morning.
18And you shall be secure, because there is hope; yes, you shall dig about you, and you shall take your rest in safety.
19Also you shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid; yes, many shall make suit to you.
20But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the giving up of the ghost. Job 11
And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. - 1 John 2:28

King Jesus; More than conquerors: Who?
But you, Bethlehem Ephratah, though you be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall he come forth to me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. Micah 5:2
The birth of our savior was prophesied hundred of years before He was born in Bethlehem. his goings forth have been from old, from everlasting meaning his existence has been from old. He was in the beginning when all things were made. He made all things John 1:1-5.
Jesus who was born in a stable and wrapped in lowly clothing is the King that makes us more than a conqueror in all things. He came to save us from our sins Matthew 1:21-25.
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given: and the government shall be on his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
King Jesus; More than conquerors: Who?
5Then I lifted up my eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz:
6His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in color to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.
7And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell on them, so that they fled to hide themselves.
8Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.
9Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.
Daniel 10 12And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
13And in the middle of the seven candlesticks one like to the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the breasts with a golden girdle.
14His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
15And his feet like to fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
16And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shines in his strength.
17And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand on me, saying to me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
18I am he that lives, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for ever more, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Revelation 1
This King is the one who came in a manger to die and reign.
King Jesus
11And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he does judge and make war.
12His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13And he was clothed with a clothing dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14And the armies which were in heaven followed him on white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15And out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treads the wine press of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16And he has on his clothing and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. Revelation 19

35The angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God. Luke 1:35
Jesus was conceived by an holy conception through the Holy Spirit.
Mary believed and allowed herself to be used as a vessel.
45“And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what had been spoken to her by the Lord.” Luke 1:45
Sinless Christ took on our sins to give us freedom from sins
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:21
Who was delivered for our offenses, and was raised again for our justification. Romans 4:25, Acts 2:24
He conquered death and hell so you do not need to fear death or hell. Death is now only a passage into glory in heaven.
Because God's children are human beings--made of flesh and blood--the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.
and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery. Hebrews 2:14-15
Acceptance of His words leads to eternal life with God, not eternal damnation in the lake of fire.
"I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life. John 5:24
Effective condemnation ends when Christ is in you.
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus - Romans 8:1

King Jesus; More than conquerors: What?
And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. Colossians 2:15
Jesus has given us victory over the devil, the world, and all the hordes of demons.
God has blessed us with all heavenly blessings because of Christ. The heavenly is superior to the earthly. The heavenly blessings we have is far superior to any physical thing we can obtain here on earth - Ephesians 1:3
Jesus has given us access to Him and the Father and brought us into heavenly realms.
For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus - Ephesians 2:6
He has registered our names in the book of life. Those whose names are not in the book are going to hell and ultimately to the lake of fire. It will be like moving from a cell to a maximum security after sentencing. (Revelation 20:11-15)
But don't rejoice because evil spirits obey you; rejoice because your names are registered in heaven." Luke 10:20
He has given us eternal life (1 John 5:11)
In hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the world began; -Titus 1:2

Christmas Eve Service: Light of Life
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” - John 8:12
No darkness can overcome the light of God in Jesus. He is the true light. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:5
Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.
For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise on you, and his glory shall be seen on you. Isaiah 60:1-2

Enter into glory!
On this last Sunday of the year, before the watch night service tomorrow, we will examine some appetizers to the main course to prepare us for the glorious year we are going into. It will be a year of glory. The glory of God will shine on your life like never before.
He told them to celebrate these days with feasting and gladness and by giving gifts of food to each other and presents to the poor. This would commemorate a time when the Jews gained relief from their enemies, when their sorrow was turned into gladness and their mourning into joy. - Esther 9:22
The young women will dance for joy, and the men--old and young--will join in the celebration. I will turn their mourning into joy. I will comfort them and exchange their sorrow for rejoicing. - Jeremiah 31:13
Most certainly I tell you, that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.
It will be like a woman suffering the pains of labor. When her child is born, her anguish gives way to joy because she has brought a new baby into the world. - John 16:20-21
You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy. - Psalm 30:11
See also Matthew 17:1-13, v2-5
And the ransomed of the LORD will return And come with joyful shouting to Zion, With everlasting joy upon their heads. They will find gladness and joy, And sorrow and sighing will flee away. - Isaiah 35:10
