Abiding?

You need to abide in God as God abides in you. The anointing you have received is an abiding anointing.

But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.(1 John 2:27).

The anointing you have already received is an abiding anointing. It stays in you and with you as you walk with Him continually. This anointing also requires you to abide in Him – The Holy Spirit. The anointing is for an end. For by one offering he has perfected for ever them that are sanctified. (Hebrews 10:14).The purpose of the anointing, first and foremost is to guide you, teach you, strengthen you and help you in everything, so the sacrifice of Jesus, dying for you; - its purpose will be fully realized.

I pray that God will perfect you forever, and your spirit, soul and body will be found blameless at the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ. No matter the challenges you are facing today; may He deliver you, teach you, lift you and be glorified in you; in Jesus mighty name! Amen and Amen!!

Mike Phelps, the ‘most decorated Olympian of all the time’ with 22 medals had his challenges. At the age of 9 his parents divorced. When he was in 6th grade he was diagnosed for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Mike also holds the all time records for gold medals (18), double that of the next highest record holders. Mike won the record for the highest number of gold medals in individual events (11) and Olympic medals in individual events (13). (Wikipedia)

In 2 Kings 9:6, the Bible says concerning Jehu And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said to him, Thus said the LORD God of Israel, I have anointed you king over the people of the LORD, even over Israel.

God anointed Jehu for a purpose. He carried out God’s commands, but did not abide in God.

Notwithstanding your challenges, may you reach your goals in Jesus name! Mike went through a disciplined and regimented training from his coach and maintained a ‘rigid focus when competing. It pays to abide under the leadership of the Holy Spirit – our coach - and be focused on Him.

Peace!
